Project Overview

Nu Steel was contracted by the US Air Force to design and fabricate rolling maintenance platforms engineered to integrate perfectly with the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. The maintenance platforms allow technicians to access any part of the aircraft from the exterior in order to perform routine upkeep and repairs.

The C-130 Hercules is a four-engined trubo-prop aircraft built for military transport by Lockheed-Martin. The giant plane entered the service in the 1950s and is the longest continuously produced military aircraft. The C-130 Hercules is 95 feet long and is capable of carrying a payload of up to 42,000 pounds.
